Different Computers, Different Browsers, Same Bookmarks
Do you use more than one computer? One for home and one for office. Do you frequently miss your bookmarks if you have to use some other computer? Do you work with different browsers on different operating operating systems. It is time that you should start using web-based bookmarking or should we say that put your bookmarks in the cloud.
Recently i tried few of such services and concluded xmarks is best for me. Install Xmarks on each of the computer you use, and it seamlessly integrates with your internet browser and keeps your bookmarks safely backed up and in sync. What’s more, Xmarks will sync across browsers too. It support Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari (for Mac OS).
Other then bookmarking it does smarter search and provide you various information about the website also. Xmarks highlights the three top sites in your Google search results based on how many people have bookmarked them? While in the browser, simply move your mouse over the site info icon to learn more about that site. Simply click on the Xmarks info icon in your URL bar to have a look at the detailed information about the site you are visiting, and discover other great & similar websites. Now who says all this is not useful?
